FAQ

What devices or software can support the MeStar client?
It can run on laptops or desktops installed with the latest Windows or macOS. Please check Technical Guidelines for details.
Can I play on a mobile device?
We do not support mobile devices for the time being, but it is already in the plan.
Can I log in from multiple devices?
You can log in to the MeStar client on multiple devices with different accounts, but the same account can only log in to one device simultaneously.
Can I log in to the MeStar client with my Web3 wallet?
Suppose you registered your MeStar account with MetaMask and Coinbase Wallet, or you have completed the connection of a wallet to your MeStar account. You can use the quick login on the MeStar client (Alpha 0.8 and above) with the connected wallet.

Error: Cannot run on this system

After opening the MeStar client, it displays an error prompt: Cannot run on this system. Please try the following solutions:
The operating system is not the latest version
MeStar client can run on macOS 12 series and above. If you bought your MacBook before 2022 and have yet to update the system, you need to update the system to the latest version and reopen the MeStar client.
Lacking of UnityPlayer.dll / VCRuntime 140.dll / Msvcp140.dll
The file is missing or accidentally deleted by a third-party firewall or antivirus software. You can download it from the Internet and save it in your MeStar folder (~/MeStarAlpha_win).
* MeStar client for Windows (Alpha 0.8 and above) will include the above files.
Microsoft Visual C++ runtime environment could not found
You can check whether Microsoft Visual C++ is installed on your computer through the search tool provided by Windows. If not, you can download it from Microsoft and install it.

Error: Black Screen

If a black screen displays when opening the MeStar client, or it appears suddenly when running the game, please try the following solution:
The graphics card driver needs to be updated or fixed.
The graphics card driver may be damaged or have not been updated for a long time. Please try to install the latest graphics card driver.

Error: Game Forced Termination

If you encounter a forced termination during the game, please try the following solutions:
Some unofficial antivirus software may shut down your game or delete game files by mistake, resulting in forced termination during the game process. We recommend that you uninstall or shut down the third-party antivirus software.
UnityPlayer.dll file is damaged
The file might be accidentally deleted by a firewall or antivirus software. You can download it from the Internet and save it in your MeStar folder (~/MeStarAlpha_win)。
